ÖzÜ ES Club Website

Understanding the Vision

The club wanted a modern, minimal, bilingual site to replace its previous Wix site: black and white as the main colours, a single accent colour and a clean structure that puts event photos first. We prepared three design directions and settled on metallic blue accents on a black ground. The pages speak to the club's two audiences: students who want to join and organisations looking to partner.

Key Features

• Design System: Layered blacks, a metallic blue accent, Archivo and IBM Plex Sans; colour, type and motion rules live in one design system.
• Two Languages: All seven pages are in Turkish and English; the two languages' translation keys are compared at build time, so no missing text ships.
• Accessibility: Keyboard navigation, a visible focus ring and touch targets of at least 44 pixels; animations stop when reduced motion is preferred.
• Join Us Flow: One setting switches the page between open and closed membership applications; the deadline day is computed in Istanbul time.
• Content Files: Event series, the board and contact details live in content files separate from the code; their consistency is checked at build time.
• Search & AI Visibility: Statically generated pages and schema.org Organization and WebSite markup that ties the club to its university.
